Minecraft Installer on PC shows as "pending" continuously.

Please try and double check this, all together:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update
Click Check for Updates

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Then, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too. (Click on get updates)

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and try installing the Minecraft launcher again

Generally, when a WIndows installation or update is finished, it tries to update the native apps and programs/games installed through the Microsoft Store.

It is normal that it takes a while to download, as there are many. Leave the PC on for a few hours and see if the downloads are started and completed, as the download is in sequential order, so some apps or games are pending. And for that reason you can't cancel them.

When accessing the Library in the Microsoft Store, are there no other downloads in progress or pending?

I am using Windows 10.

When I open the store there's a circling download button that says "Pending" but it never installs anything it just continues to say Pending. I let it rest overnight but the circling motion was still there.

I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher from the official Minecraft website here.

I was originally using Minecraft.net before switching to the Microsoft store because it continued to redirect me there.
I will try what you suggested here though and see if it works.

Sorry to hear about that, however, kindly first check your Windows Update if there's any pending update (also include the optional updates). Go to your PC Settings > Windows Update.

If none, try to repair your Minecraft launcher app by going to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Minecraft launcher > click the 3 dots > Advance options > Repair > Reset and Restart your PC.

I bought CD for shop for game. I can see on XBox, it shows its installed and shows no pending updates for the game
