Minecraft Install Won't Cancel or Pause or Actually Install

I've had a similar issue before, but I keep having to come back to it. With the new Minecraft performance update, I tried to install such, and Minecraft will simply be stuck at installing, never actually finishing any install. If I try to cancel the install, it simply doesn't do it. If I click cancel all and clear the queue, it prevents me from clearing the queue again, and Minecraft stays right there, still not canceling or installing. I have done a hard reboot, restart, turn off and on again, etc. Nothing works. The game still says its installing, and never does.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

I've already performed multiple powercycles, none of which have worked. I have powercycled the console and unplugged it for an hour, and the download still did not go away. I will try to do the reset the next time I am on the console, but will resetting such uninstall all of the installed apps and games. I understand they will save the data, just unsure if they'll save the actual games themselves, as I have an external harddrive with a majority of the games stored on it.

As long as you will choose keep my games and apps it will not uninstall your installed apps and games.

Ok so I have reinstalled it, and when i go to the Minecraft for Windows 10 Tab on the launcher, it shows install instead of play. If i click Install, it just says "Idle" at the bottom with the pause and cancel buttons on the right. brb (be right back)

Did you click cancel install? You have to do this before trying to install offline, pausing the install will not work
