Minecraft 'hackers?' destroy the game?

First off, maybe hackers isn't the correct word as I'm not sure they have the account details (I don't see how they would of got them) but I'm also not sure what I would call them.

I'm basically asking on behalf of my younger brothers who like to play minecraft with their cousin and friends, (to save arguments we went and bough a second xbox so that they both could play at the same time/own rooms etc) This new xbox was set up today,
and up until today we haven't experiences any problems.

But today when they were playing they (all the friends that were playing) were kicked from their worlds, and 'whoever/whatever' it was just destroyed everything in the world, but it wasn't showing as anybody else being in that world with them. The games
just keep going offline as the host is always booted too.

Am I sounding crazy? (not going to lie, you've probably already figured it out, I'm new to this) Has anyone herd of this before, what can we do?

Only thing I can think of is if guests are allowed to join and everyone who can join has admin rights. These can be disabled in world settings. Wouldn't surprise me to see Minecraft hackers. Halo has an abundance of them and neither Microsoft nor 343i doesn't
seem to do anything. Mojang is now owned by Microsoft. Sooo yeah. If there is something wrong, just report them using the File Complaint option.

It is rather obvious it was one of your friends messing around. Why would a "hacker" waste time on 360 Minecraft to destroy a world that all in all wasnt that good ?... I think one of you friends is lying to you, Or you are attention seeking.
