Happened to me twice now, mooshrooms escaped too

 

This has happened when I host a total of 4 times now.

Details: Created 3 bases of operations + multiple gates in nether for travel. Game is set to multiplayer, invite only.

1) Happened after dying at Secondary base, and spawning at Primary base since I had not bound my character to Secondary base (both are located on the same map). Multiplayers got booted within minutes somehow. I manually restarted the game thinking to clear
any glitch, but found the chests were empty at the Secondary base. No nether involved in this case.

2) Noticed after logging in that all chests at Secondary base were empty. Previous session was working multiplayer setting up nether portals between Primary and Secondary bases.

3) Playing solo in AM. Logged in at Primary base and grabbed a few supplies, used nether to travel to Secondary base (located on the same map). Went mining and upon digging a hole back to the surface, the hole refilled somehow immediately upon exiting it,
and all chests in that area of the map were then found to be empty.

Thinking the Secondary base was bugged, abandoned it and travelled to another map. Created nether travel access to this Tertiary base from Primary base. Worked fine for a few days, travel between Tertiary and Primary seemed to cause no issues.

4) At the Tertiary (new) base of operations (playing multiple sessions there), a multiplayer friend travelled back to the original Primary base and found all chests to be empty and All farm animals gone.

-This is a game breaking issue. P1. We don't know if we can even go to the nether, or precisely what the root cause is.

-Kind of kills the game for everyone if you have to keep collecting and mining/depleting an area, just to find you have to move to another area because all supplies keep getting wiped out.

-As is, may as well call this a Beta release and not yet charge people. I shouldn't have to be finding Mojang's P1 bugs.

 

Okay so why can't we use the online option on console like so many others I've read it glitches out. What the problem?

 

Happened here too, weeks of items gone.

For a sandbox game like this, to have a bug that deletes all your hard earned items is absolutely ridiculous.

If I had just started, I might keep playing and just start over... but not now. WAY too much lost, no point in collecting more because if this happened once, it will happen again.

Game ending bug. Back to PC for me.

 

No point in playing until it gets patched.

 

I still haven't experience this, but the only bug I've had similar is when ever I travel to through the end portal, back to the over world... Only to have my items vanish in my inventory and chest for a few seconds, but reappear after a while. I'm guessing
this bug has something to do with the Portals?

 

This game breaking bug needs to be fixed ASAP. Losing your inventory due to falling in lava is frustrating, but losing all your inventory in every chest because of a bug makes you not want to play the game. Any idea when a patch will be issued?

 

There is a bug fix in test at the moment so it won't be long now. This is what it will fix:

Fixes:-

- Fix for tile entities not being saved correctly in unloaded chunks. (Empty Chests, Spawners turning into Pig Spawners, etc.)

- Enable hiding mashup-pack worlds from the saves list, and re-enabling them all from the options menu.

- Change to ‘disable saving’ setting so that it remains set for a specific save when reloading that save.

- Fix for Glass Blocks placed next to each other rendering incorrectly.

- Fix for enchanted items not destroying blocks as quickly as they should.

- Changed 3D sound attenuation to have linear fall-off, with special cases for thunder, Enderdragon & Ghast sounds. (Sound volumes incorrect bug)

- Improved frame-rate in Jungles.

- Fix for missing chunks in Superflat world on host console.

- Fixed an issue with mob spawning rates.

- Fix for hit box on Torches sometimes being incorrect.

- Fix for entities being duplicated (every save/load cycle) for transferred worlds (Multiple Enderdragons bug).

- Fix for 'Can Build and Mine' not functioning correctly.

- Fixed issue with mobs still being aggressive while player is invisible (using Potion).

- Fixed an issue recording Spider Jockey kills.

- Fix for players riding Boats/Minecarts sometimes being invisible to remote players.

- Fix for Maps placed in an Item Frame appear as blank to other players.

- Fix to move HUD down when tooltips are disabled.

- Fix for camera resetting when going through Nether or End Portals.

- Fix for issue with Xbox 360 Save transfer when the save is exited without saving on Xbox One.

- Fixed an issue with gamer pictures occasionally causing a crash.

Additions:-

- Added a 'Copy Save' option to allow people to 'back-up' their world to another save.

 

They are also going to bring all console versions up to the equivalent of Java 1.6.4 version. But not any time soon.

 

No fix for spawning nether gates? Oh well, at least the empty chest bug will be fixed soon. Do devs even test their games, anymore? Or they just let us find them. The amount and type of bugs in games today is getting out of hand.

 

My kids are devastated. This just happened to them last night. They've worked on their map for a month, and then BAM, everything is gone now. My 5 year old is probably the funniest about how mad she is, but it's really sad. I've spent hours mining and loading
chests for them with stuff so they can build without having to spend as much time laboring. Yeah yeah creative. But they enjoy survival. For the older kids, there is a sense of accomplishment as well.

I hate that I paid $20 to be a beta tester. I have a few choice words.

Is there any way to manually back up the map so that it could be restored later if something like this happens again?

 

You can download the save to a USB Flash Drive. People do this with long-term worlds.

The bug fix is has already been rolled out though for the last 14 hours so hopefully a lot of the bugs have been fixed.

Like I said before I wasn't even going to start playing until this bug fix so now finally I get to give it a go.
