    Minecraft Gamertag


    I changed my Gamertag a couple of days ago from nataliesegura to and it shows in my Microsoft account that it is changed, but when I go into Minecraft it's still the same. I've waited roughly 50 hours and still no change. I was wondering if there's anything I need to do to cause that change to happen or if I need help from here.

    How can I only change my display name/classic gamertag

    Your Minecraft name is integrated with your gamertag so what ever your gamertag is, that will be your Minecraft name and it is already fixed unless you make changes to your gamertag.

    Recently, Microsoft started to integrate Minecraft Java accounts with Microsoft accounts. Could you have merged the wrong account at some point or signed in with the wrong account?

    Rest assured that the Xbox profile gamertag does not have anything to do with your Minecraft Java gamertag, they are stored on different databases and different servers.

    When you sign in on the Minecraft website it does show that you own Java Edition, right?
