    Minecraft game XBOX 360


    My son put his minecraft disc into the Xbox 360 console yesterday and played the game, no problem.

    Today when we put the disc in, it comes back unrecognizable. I tried the suggestions, clean with a cloth, etc, and some other suggestions that people have given me in the past. None worked. Can you let me know what else I can try?

    hi

    my son has been playing minecraft, saint row, far cry 4 etc in Xbox 360. is it possible to transfer the games to xbox one? minecraft is an online purchase. rest all the discs we bought from Game.

    he doesnt want to upgrade to xbox one but ofcourse we are missing out the new features of xbox one and xbox 360 is getting out dated fast and would value for nothing soon.. ihave few consoles left like that and lying in the garage.. (ps2, xbox, psp etc)..

    any advice on transferring the games would be helpful for me to decide on xbox one..

    Why do you need to sell the 360? Like others said you'll need to rebuy the games he's after and not all will be a available on the Xbox One. May as well keep the 360, and buy him a One. That's what I did. Still regularly play my 360 despite having a ton of games for my One.

    Minecraft for Xbox 360 and Minecraft for Xbox One are two different games. The content purchases are considered to be on the 360 so it's for a different game as far as the Xbox One is concerned.

    Your addons for Minecraft on the 360 won't transfer to Xbox one because Xbox one edition is a different game and the 360 version of Minecraft isn't back compatible

    I know, the game was already known from PC and thus far its popularity and success on the 360, but regardless, for a digital game it was a complete success.

    The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft is not backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

    If you had owned Minecraft 360 digitally, you could have had the benefit of getting the "Xbox One Edition" at a reduced price, and if you owned the Xbox One Edition, you could then get the "Minecraft" without "Xbox One Edition" on the Xbox One for free.

    However, these offers have all now expired, and the only way to get Minecraft on your Xbox One is to buy the game again.

    Be aware: You can't import your Xbox 360 worlds in the newer Xbox One Minecraft!

    If getting your Xbox 360 world over is important for you, you need to find someone with "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" and import it to that game first. Then import that world into "Minecraft" on the Xbox One.
