    Minecraft game play on LAN between XBox One and Windows 10 PC


    Hi All,

    My son (11) plays Minecraft on Xbox one using my gamer profile. We're able to play across LAN every now and again, him on Xbox and me on PC - the gamer name just adds (2) at the end when I log on.

    He is getting frustrated because we can't talk via the headset. How can we achieve this, please?

    I own Minecraft Bedrock Edition for the Xbox One and I would like to play it on my PC.

    To be able to play Minecraft on a pc you will need to purchase the game for Windows 10, as it is not a play anywhere title unfortunatly.

    It is crossplay enable between Xbox One, mobile, Windows 10 and Nintendo Switch.

    I own minecraft "windows 10 edition" on xbox one but isn't availabile on windows 10....
    There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

    On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

    As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

    However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.

    Sorry to hear you're having issues playing Minecraft with your friend between console and pc. Does your friend have the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft?

    Minecraft for Windows 10 is only for the PC. If you purchased and played on the Xbox, then you own the Xbox version of Minecraft. You would need to purchase Minecraft for Windows 10 in order to play it on the PC.
