Minecraft game not showing under account

I set up my daughter for a Microsoft account to purchase her Minecraft. She had a child account and asked for permission and the purchase was approved. Once installed, it did not give the option to play multiplayer. After looking that up, we saw that a child's account could not play multiplayer, so I changed the date of her birthday to be 18+. Her birthday in the account shows updated, but the Minecraft game still does not allow multiplayer games. In fact, the purchase showing under my (the adult account) shows the purchase, but nothing about it being for a different account. This is Minecraft Java on PC

You need to manage the account settings by signing in to https://account.xbox.com/settings. Allow the setting in this screenshot that has an arrow:

Have you checked your Ready to Install list for Minecraft by visiting Games & Apps and 'Manage' under Minecraft? If the code was redeemed on your account it should show up under the game

You can confirm if the Minecraft game was purchased under a Microsoft account by signing all of your known Microsoft email addresses on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history.

If Minecraft is there, you can try to use the same account to sign in to the Minecraft launcher.

If the game is still not showing up under your Order history in all of your accounts, please let me know.

Game DLC purchases would not show up under "Services and Subscriptions" as it is neither a service, nor is it a subscription. As it is DLC for Minecraft, is should show up in the game. Have you tried to start it from within Minecraft?

Yes, one of my Microsoft accounts DOES show up as owning the game. However it also has a "Profile Name" button under the Minecraft Java section on the My Games tab, and it tells me that my username is already taken when I enter the username I was using on my Java account before migration.
