Minecraft game issue

Hello When we enter the Minecraft disc (new and not scratched) it starts to load then crashes after first image. Reads: Game error - the game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again Its not a download and if we sit for 30 minutes to an hour re trying
to open the game, it eventually does. This only started to happen last week, before this it played fine. Any help?

I'm pretty sure Minecraft is just Minecraft. One game, Minecraft. There is also Minecraft story mode, that is a very different game, a telltale series.

Minecraft Console versions were essentially the same game but for anyone that owns the Xbox One edition was given a free updated version within the last few months I think. This version I can only describe as the unified version that is cross platform and has a slightly different front end UI that looks more suited to a PC setup, once in the game the experience is the same. I think other consoles will eventually get this free updated version to bring it inline with others and bring the 'better together' cross platform option to all except the PS4 as Sony aren'y getting onboard with it.

I brought my daughter the Xbox One S console bundle for Xmas which includes Minecraft with some cosmetic packs and Minecraft Story mode Season 1. When I set it up I realised the bundled Minecraft is the new unified version which initially I thought would put my daughter off due to the main menu and new game UI but she got the hang of it quickly and like I said, once in game its essentially the same.

You have the retail version of Minecraft? Have you tried installing the game to your hard drive? Sometimes, this helps load and runs games smoother.

If you downloaded the game from Live and have the disc, sometimes this will happen. Delete everything from system settings under Minecraft, and then install the game to your HDD. After that, start the game and download any updates for it.

 

I am having the same issue, I have deleted it completely, I even pulled the HDD from the system and it does not work. I do however have another XBOX360 S and it works on it fine. It is not working on my ARCADE version XBOX360 however. I deleted everything
updated the system for the new network patch and it still does not work. As far as installing, it has never given me that option, even when I hit X it just says play the game, no install option at all.

 

I have tried all this and it is still not working. Even deleted the cache. I didnt download the game, just used the disc. It was working fine up until last week. We have a 360 go, so we have our ownexternal hard drive.

 

That happened to me, too. I think the problem is disc (try cleaning disc with dry rag, that helped to me)
