    Minecraft Friend showing as offline despite being online


    When in xbox app and in minecraft app my son appears offline, even though he is right next to me and in his world on minecraft?

    If I go into my world and send him an invite he receives invite but always gets "cannot connect to world" error. He is on iPad PE and I am on Android PE. Started about 2 months ago and not coming right.

    Hi Brad,

    He doesn't get any sort of error message. He doesn't get any sort of option to join my game and vice versa. His profile is both offline on minecraft friends list and xbox, despite him being online. Not sure what this means

    Hey Amber,

    Looking at my friends list online on my laptop it looks to be the same issue as on my Xbox. 4 friends it shows as being online currently or within the past 24 hours while the rest show as offline when I know they are have not been offline more than 24 hours
    and they don't have their profiles set to "show as offline".

    Hi PhillipThrift,

    This is not even a problem with you Xbox. The Xbox Live system is undergoing maintenance on some services, so it appears that your friends are offline.

    To track Xbox Live Status, go to Support and stay on top of things
    when you get back to normal.
