Minecraft freezing as soon as joining world

advise with a problem on Minecraft Xbox 360? Since the new update, every time my son joins one of his worlds, it freezes at "initializing server," then has to turn Xbox off manually. He has retried many times with no success.

My xbox keeps freezing and freezing and idk if it's cuz my world is to big for minecraft (19MB) or if it's cuz my xbox is really hot but ever sens the new update for minecraft came out it just keeps freezing as soon as I go into the world the first 2 minutes
are ok but then it freezes I have my xbox in the freezer right now cooling down and I'll try to delete some minecraft things but all I know is notch or 4j studios needs to fix this fast cuz I have a important server I'm running and I can't get it running if
this keeps freezing I have found a little something that helps if you go into your game save right away and move a little then save do this about 10 times and it should not freeze but keep saving ever once awhile

Your Xbox is broken,you will have to pay the $100USD to get it fixed, sorry.

 

I have same issue with 1 of my worlds. Little success from Microsoft to find solution. Assuming the save was corrupted it would be un-fixable . And I had to delete that world and take the loss. That's what I dealt with as result of the issue.

I have a similar situation here. Once I loaded the game, it informed me that that a new update is available and asking me if I would like to update it. If you don’t update, you can only play offline (not logged into xbox live) but cannot load your world.

I went ahead and downloaded the update (1st week Jan 2016) and installed. A screen appeared showing all the changes to the game with the recent update. I pressed the back button and selected the saved games. When I try to load my world, the screen freezes
at “Initializing Server” stage and saying "creating spawn point" in smaller font at the bottom of the screen. The controller becomes non responsive and you can’t go back to xbox home screen. The only solution is to manually press the main button to switch
it off at xbox’s base unit.

I did a quick internet research and followed steps to uninstall the recent game update so that I can still continue to play my world in the un-updated version of the game, take the necessary back ups of the saved games etc… and then try to reinstall the
update. So, I went into xbox system settings > Select “Storage” > Select “All devices” > Select “Games and Apps” > Select “Minecraft” > Delete “Title Updates”.

I then restarted the game. At start up, it is again informing me that there is an update for this game and asking me if I would like to download & install the update. And unless you do this, you cannot open your world as you are not logged into xbox live.
I selected offline mode. Here, I can open my world in offline mode, but I spawn at the bottom of the water. I quickly swim before I starve of oxygen. I swam ashore and explored the map. However it is not the same world I played before. Also when I load my
world, it is very dark so I need to go into gamma and increase it to 50%. Gamma settings start at 0%.

I haven’t saved or allowed a manual save on this world yet. I switched it off without saving.

Please let me know if you faced a similar situation after an update.

I wonder if my last saved world is now corrupt or if I can recover and continue to play it from the point where I left it.

If so what steps I should follow?

Hi again. I started a new world. I saved my old world to a USB memory and leaving it as is. Very disappointing but I have no other solution at the moment.
