Minecraft freezes when loading a saved game

When I load a saved game, it freezes, the audio skips rapidly, and after 1-5 seconds I'm taken back to the home screen. This only happens with Minecraft (Xbox ONE). So far I've tried

• I've always, only played in Offline mode - most suggestions are to uncheck "online" mode
  
• hard restart (hold down the power button)
• unplugging the console
• uninstalling/reinstalling the game (I have it on disc)
• Clearing the cache
• Clearing the MAC Address
• Removing and then re-adding my account

Nothing has worked so far and I've seen dozens of others with the same problem. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Deleted my hardrive cache and now it won't load any games.

My skyrim game froze recently so I deleted my cache and a few saved games and now my xbox freezes when loading the game. Can anybody help?

When the game freezes, are you loading it from the cloud or are you loading it from the USB? If it's with the USB device, please try loading it from an internal storage save instead. Let us know how it goes

Even though you have it on a disc, the game is still installed to your hard drive to increase loading speed and game performance. I would recommend uninstalling the game from your My Games and Apps section, and then reinserting the disc to trigger a new
download of Minecraft.

Thanks TheyCallMeBlitz but I already tried that. I also just tried cleaning the disc but it's still freezing after loading a saved game.

 

Have you done a full power cycle for your console? And just so we are on the same page, a hard reset is not a power cycle. Please refer to this sticky here:

Thanks again for the quick response. I tried a couple things related to this:

• Power Cycled it: held power button down for 10 seconds until it shut off
• Power cycled with unplug: same as above but after it turned off I unplugged it for 3 minutes
  
• Just unplugged it for a couple minutes

Most of these I did while chatting online with MS Support. Even with their help I couldn't resolve the issue, but ran out of time so I'm planning to try again tonight. I was just hoping someone else had already resolved it.
