Minecraft for Windows not updating

This has been happening for the past few years, and I've had to use a third-party software to update my Minecraft Bedrock application. Every time I try to update it, whether it's from the Microsoft store or the Minecraft Launcher itself, it just says "There has been an error" and a retry button. I kept pressing the retry button but it doesn't work.

Anyone have a solution?

I wanted to update my Minecraft Windows 10 but when updating minecraft I always download the beta version of the game

Minecraft is allowed through the firewall. And this had been working just fine until the recent windows and minecraft updates.

Minecraft for Windows should update to the latest version automatically. If not, open Microsoft Store, select the three dots in the top right corner and choose “Downloads and updates”. From here, select “Get updates” and all your installed applications should update (including Minecraft).

Yes, I do mean 1.19.10. I figured that the zero technically didn't matter. My friends thought that they couldn't update anymore, but they actually did need to update. Thank you for that

Once done, reset the Microsoft Store to clear the cache.

For Windows 10:

Open Settings by pressing Win + I

Select Apps

Select Apps & features

Find Microsoft Store and select it

Select Advanced options

Scroll down and select Reset

Confirm by selecting Reset again

For Windows 11, you may go to Settings>System > System Components > Microsoft Store. Click on the 3 dots and click Advanced options then click on Reset.
