    Hello, everyone. I got Minecraft for Windows 10 via the app store, so as to be able to coach my son.

    The peculiar thing is that it worked fine before I reinstalled Windows 10. And no, I have obviously installed the requisite drivers, minus the NVidia "game ready" hot garbage that for some reason demands an account. The system works fine. The game does not,
    not anymore.

    So okay, obviously we should run it in console, right? Except no, Microsoft has apparently gone to impressive lengths to make finding the executable difficult. So that's a no-go. I want to find logs -- I assume they're in AppData -- but not having unlimited
    time, I really don't want to spend hours trawling through that if I can avoid it.

    Googling yields the lovely proposition that possibly everything with my computer is wrong and to please use RegEdit like a hacksaw in order for my computer to run this particular app, the implication being that this particular game not working is good reason
    to mutilate my system files and services.

    I'm a C++ programmer by trade. My computer has run this before already, and with zero issue that anyone can name. This is frustrating.

    I would be grateful for assistance. I only ask that it not start with, "here's something that may break Windows 10 lol."

    I'm having the same Issue. Asrock 990fx killer Motherboard, AMD 8350 CPU, 16GB ram, Gforce GTX 750 GPU. Works fine on my Yoga tab, just not my PC.

    Windows Stop Codes can be caused by different things, we could do with knowing what the error says when your system crashes.

    If you can provide this I might be able to find what's causing it.

    The first stopcode that happened to me was DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

    and the third one was VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR

    You could try testing your RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. This runs a test on your RAM and if any of the results fail that means you need to replace your RAM.
