Minecraft for the X1

For those who have purchased the 360 version of Minecraft, will they be able to upgrade to the xbox one version for free or will they have to pay for it once again

I thought I got more achievements in Minecraft X1 than Halo MCC, I need to fix that. I've about 40% completed MC X1 edition and 1% (8 achievements) for Halo MCC. 100% completed MC X360 edition (mc = minecraft).

 

You will have to re-buy. Its a brand new version of the game, its not an update for the same game so its like all other new game purchases.

 

I heard they r trying to get it so all ur saves and worlds go onto the Xbox one

 

Yeah, they are supposedly working on getting current saves to transfer to Xbox one. I'm sure we will have to repurchase the game, but worth it. I'm really hoping you will have the ability to play in a friends world even if they currently are not online playing
themselves.

Yes 4J has been trying to find a way to transfer saves from the 360 version over to the XB1 version, which is why it's taking so long to figure out, however 4J did post a pic a few weeks back showing them playing it on the XB1 so it shouldn't be much longer,
as of the price issue I have no idea however back when the XB1 came out microsoft stated that all XB1 games will have dedicated servers, in which case you'd be able to play on your friends world when they are not online, also I'm pretty certain that the XB1
version will be up to date with the PC version, however they have announced that the worlds will be much bigger and more people will be able to play at once.

 

I only ever stuck too the one world I made.

Even if they couldn't transfer I feel like new console and better version I would be totally ok with starting all over.

 

I'd be upset about not being able to transfer my world over - I spent months on it after all. Come visit some time!

However, I won't let that stop me from getting the new & improved MC. =)

 

I'd start a new world regardless, even if world transfers become available. Not like it'd matter anyways cause I'm technically on a whole new account. While my wallet would definitely appreciate not having to buy it again, I'm willing to as 4J Studios have
had to put countless hours in RE-developing Minecraft for the Xbox One.

Hopefully Xbox One Minecraft is SUPER delayed and the ONLY reason I say that is because it's going to be so hard getting me off TitanFall to play anything else.

 

Snap, I love How Zoo Tycoon lets me set up a park, and I get allow friends to join and edit it while my console is off thanks to the cloud.

Fingers crossed Minecraft takes use of the cloud.

 

I love Minecraft Xbox 360. However you may need to buy the Xbox 1 Minecraft when it eventually comes out. I too believe I really got my money worth when I got Minecraft less than 1 month after it came out for 360 for 1600 MSP. I don't think the Xbox 1 version
will cost as much as games like COD Ghosts and Forza 5. As soon as I hear word that it's out for Xbox 1 I will be swift to get it.

Officially mentioned is bigger worlds and bigger multiplayer. What would also be cool is storing your world to the cloud instead of the host having to be on, horses, bigger drawing distances since Xbox 1 has much more RAM and better processing power it's
kind of an issue on 360 when flying around in creative mode on a new map trying to map the entire world, or reading a giant sign in the sky we really should have bigger drawing distances with Xbox 1's hardware capabilities. Plus the skin packs and texture
packs.
