Minecraft Family Sharing Through Xbox Game Pass For PC

To play Minecraft on a Windows PC, you typically need to be logged into the Microsoft Store with the account that owns the game. This is due to the way Microsoft manages game licenses and user authentication.

However, if you have Minecraft through Xbox Game Pass, and your Windows 11 account has access to Game Pass, you can play Minecraft without switching accounts. First, welcome to the Xbox community. Unfortunately, it is not possible to share on the PC, as this is an exclusive Xbox feature, as the console has the possibility of setting it as home, on the PC it is unfortunately not possible.

What you could do is log in with your account that has a subscription to the Microsoft store on her PC, and then she could play with her profile without a subscription to the Xbox app, but it still wouldn't be possible for both people to play at the same time, that's just is possible on the console.

Unfortunately they are separate passes. The Xbox Pass for PC cannot be shared with an Xbox like the way you would share an Xbox game pass through designating an Xbox as home and sharing the benefits that way. PC pass and Xbox pass are separate entities.

Yes, it is actually a feature available right now! On Xbox One, go to Settings>Account>Family Settings>Manage Family Members and add all of your loved ones! The same can be performed on PC through your settings.

This feature will share Gold and Game Pass so if you ever by chance have Game Pass Ultimate and you have a capable gaming PC as well, you can play any game that supports cross play between Xbox and PC such as Sea of Thieves with family and friends.

Game Pass can't be shared on PC at the momemt, but the games downloaded on the Home Xbox can be shared if they are a Game Pass title. Here is some more information from a previous forum thread that might help.
