minecraft dungeons on xbox 1

hello, my minecraft dungeons for xbox 1 will get to the load characters screen but never load the characters, thus rendering the game UN-playable. i have tried resetting the console, uninstalling the game and re-installing, and clearing the save files, but as soon as it re-syncs to the cloud, it does the same thing: it never loads the characters. I'm hoping to know if ill never be able to play again or if there is a way to fix this. thanks.
