Minecraft Dungeons on PC will not start

Minecraft Dungeons launches fine, until it gets to the "press a button" screen where characters are loaded. It then comes up with a "unable to verify ownership of game" error and will not progress. This might be related to the fact the last time I played, I had to switch wifi access points halfway through a game. But now the game will not run at all like it is out of sync.

Unfortunately Minecraft Dungeons does not support cross saves. So you will have to start over on the PC if you start to play there.

Minecraft is available through Game Pass on the console, but not the PC. Minecraft Dungeons is available for the PC.
