Minecraft desktop works, Twitch launcher only allows demo.

I purchased Minecraft through the Microsoft Store and downloaded it to my computer.

I launched mine craft from my desktop and signed in using my Xbox live / Microsoft account (Same email for both.) It works just fine...

The problem:

I downloaded the Twitch app and attempted to launch Minecraft through the Twitch app so I can play the Feed the Beast mods...

Minecraft launches and ask me to sign in using my mojang account which I had to create. (I used the same email for my xbox/microft account)

Once I sign in via my mojang account it says that I don't own a copy of the game and can only play the demo.

I have tried all the suggested trouble shooting and even contacted mojang support who just referred me to here. Any suggestions?

The demo version of MInecraft only allows you to play with Infinite settings. To unlock all options in-game you'll need to purchase Minecraft, thanks for your understanding

Xbox One Twitch App Viewing Issue

Still not working..

I have called my ISP (Vidéotron) and the lead support tell me Twitch or MS never contacted them..

Twitch work on my Apple TV3, GalaxyS4, Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition, laptop, desktop, linux desktop...

And the app is working on my xone when I switch my region for USA... but for me it's not what I call a fix... because we paying xbox live to use apps like that in our region and language no?..

Unfortunately, that may be due to the fact that the Java version of Minecraft is different from the Windows 10 version.

Have you reached out to the creator of the Mod to ensure which version it supports?

Have you contacted Twitch to see if their system requires one specific version?

Post back and let us know which version you own when you check your
commerce page.

Hello!

It was only happening to the MC launcher, and I downloaded it from the MC website.

One of my friends gave me a download for the older MC launcher and that made the icon appear and pin-able to my desktop, but I still can't find it in my files nor will open file location on task manager work.

I can't exactly take a screenshot right now, but I can find the .minecraft folder and access that, it's just the launcher thats not in my files.

I tried this fix, unfortunately after logging out and restarting my computer my Minecraft Java Edition Launcher still said that I didn't buy the game and that I could only play the Demo version of Minecraft Java. Do you know another fix ?

Done. My Xbox Profile is now in sync with the Launcher and the Minecraft website, however I still see "Play Demo" on the launcher even though I've purchased Java a few years back.
