    Hello,

    My son started playing Minecraft again with a friend. Since the friend only has an Xbox, my son has been playing on our Xbox. I told him about how everything should be cross-platform now, and he should be able to not only play with his friend from our
    PS4, but should also be able to play through a server that I host on my computer.

    I started looking into it, and found you can tie a Microsoft account to our PSN account (said you can only do this once and it is permanent). Since this was the case, I used my Microsoft account to do this. This is the same account that I purchased Minecraft
    Windows 10 Edition through on the PC already.

    I wanted to be able to have both of my sons, myself, and their friend all play on the same server. What seems to have now happened, is I cannot play on my PC with my son, because once one of us starts playing, the other one cannot login because it is the
    same account and it will not let the same account login and play more than once at the same time. I understand this method, but what this has done is now made us have to tie completely different accounts to a particular system. This is especially troubling
    to me, because the only solution I see is to purchase Minecraft on 2 other accounts in my household. We have already purchased the following:

    Minecraft PS4 Edition

    Minecraft XboxOne Edition

    Minecraft Windows 10 Edition

    Minecraft PE

    Minecraft Java Edition

    Is there something I'm missing here? Did I screw up by attaching my PC/Windows 10 Edition account to the PS4? I just don't want to spend another $50-$60 when I have already purchased these games on all of the systems. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Microsoft Account linked to PS4 account on Minecraft

    I have linked my Microsoft account to my PS4 account in order to play cross platform minecraft. The issue is that I would like to play cross platform with my brother, who is playing using my Xbox One. My microsoft account is now associated with
    both my PS4 account and Xbox Live account, which means that we share a gamertag. For this reason I cannot add my Xbox account as a friend on Minecraft and cannot play cross platform. I attempted to resolve this issue by unlinking my Microsoft account from
    my PS4 account but this did not resolve the issue. I was unable to link a different Microsoft account to my PS4 account, a message informed me that my account was already linked to another and could not be linked again.

    This is a cross platform issue, it works for fortnite and Minecraft because you could be playing against PC players, it doesn't work for other games that are not cross platform though. Imagine if you could use a keyboard and mouse in BO4 for instance,
    it wouldn't be fair!
