    Minecraft crashes when profile is loaded


    Hi There,

    I have replicated this issue on both Xbox and Windows 10 Editions of Minecraft.

    Issue:

    • Start Minecraft
    • Minecraft starts - Steve is displayed
    • and then when the profile is loaded
    • then the game crashes
    • This happens on both Xbox and Windows 10 versions of the game
    We have removed Data from Everywhere (reset Application data on both Windows and Xbox) without avail. It is possible to run Minecraft without logging into the account on Windows 10 - but on the Xbox there is no option for this.

    The issue clearly appears to be an account synchronization one - but there are no places where we can reset the account data for this.

    I just thought I would provide an update on this.

    • Raised support call with Microsoft and they were extremely helpful. However; the problem was isolated back to the Mojang account.
    • We then raised a support ticket with Mojang and 10 days later we have heard nothing ... not a word
    • In an attempt to resolve this issue we downloaded the Microsoft Insider app and then installed the Minecraft Beta
    • After installing and connecting the profile using the Minecraft Beta we found that there was an issue with the character on the Mojang profile and we were able to correct the profile.

    Thank you again to the Microsoft Xbox support team. It is a pity that we had to find a hacky workaround due to a complete lack of support from Mojang.

    Thank you for your reply, normal minecraft loads perfectly but even with all the steps forge and curesforge both seem to crash it with the same event viewer log. The game either crashes as soon as chunks start to load or when I start to move around.

    Well it may be the digital versions that are buggy.Most of the time the game crashes is when Im going through a door or during fast travel.It goes to the loading screen and freezes up there.It boggles the mind that in this day and age theres still loading
    times.Why not load the game in chunks like Minecraft does.Seems to work fine.

    Fallout 3 crashes when loading profile

    Resolved the issue myself with a little troubleshooting I should've done months ago:

    • Deleted local XBox 360 data
    • Uninstalled all FO3 add-ins, left game installed
    • Launched game (successfully)
    • Tapped Start/Hamburger button
    • Game loaded to main menu
    • Quit to Xbox One dashboard
    • Quit game (Start/Hamburger button> Quit game)
    • Installed 1 add-in
    • Launched game (successfully)
    • Tapped Start/Hamburger button
    • Game loaded to main menu
    • Quit to Xbox One dashboard
    • Quit game (Start/Hamburger button> Quit game)
    • Installed next add-in
    ---

    Repeated for each add-in

    ---

    • Launched game (successfully)
    • Tapped Start/Hamburger button
    • Game loaded to main menu
    • Selected Continue
    • Selected Yes
    • Last saved game loaded successfully

    11/3/14 UPDATE JUST WIPED ALL MY DATA!!!

    It crashes when loading the Leadership control modules, loads the first two and then spins out and freezes when loading the leadership board status for daily challenges. I tried going to Classic Puzzles immediately to see if that staved off the crash but
    it doesn't, it still crashes when it would be loading that other stuff in the background.
