    Minecraft crashed and gave me an almost unheard of exit code.


    The code is -1073740791 and I have no clue what it means. I've tried to fix it and looked for the meaning online and I still haven't been able to find the issue.

    This error usually appears due to an incompatibility with your actual Nvidia graphics card driver version.

    Which hardware specs do you have buddy?

    Minecraft not starting with weird exit code

    Hi, I'm having the same issue. Graphics card is up to date but it keeps crashing with this same code. I have NVIDIA GeForce rtx 3070 with the latest driver. I either get this exit code or exit code 1. I have had multiple friends who build computers update my bios and do what they can to fix the crash issue but i still crash.

    Just had this error code after starting horizon 2 when it said I could, whilst having TV snapped. It worked for almost the entire unskippable intro video, then exited, and would not open again, even when install had completely finished. I tried a ten second
    hold on the power button to see if that would help but instead it gave me a green screen followed by an error screen with the above code.

    Currently in my third minute of the unplug for five suggested above.

    I have also tried holding power for thirty seconds and holding eject while powering on, which gave no improvement.

    Perform this procedure. All of these steps may take some time to complete.

    1. Open Windows PowerShell (Administrator).

    2. Copy and paste these commands execute them by pressing Enter, you must do this for each one.

    - sfc /scannow

    - DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    - DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    3. In the Windows browser type "wsreset" and run that app.

    This will open the Microsoft Store, wait a few seconds and close it.

    Restart the PC and try again.
