Minecraft "Connection Failed"

Hello everyone,

Before u start telling me to go ask 4J Studios for support, hear me out.

I have the dvd version of minecraft, a friend of mine has the downloadable version. We cant play online together we get the error message "Connection Failed. Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu."

Now why do I say its not the developers fault? because this is not the first time this problem came up. First we had this problem with AC Unity, we could play with ANYONE except together. After Unity, party chat went down. We can talk to anyone on party
chat except each other. Unless when someone else invites us both to a party which they're hosting. So we figured its NAT problem, turns out it wasnt. we both have OPEN NAT. Again, WE HAVE OPEN NAT no need to blame it on NAT either.

Now I might add, the only games we CAN actually play together are CoD AW and GTA V.

Just to put your mind at ease my fellow network specialists, my xbox is in a DMZ. Why am I mentioning this because I want to say that these weird never-ever-seen problems that pop up out of nowhere every day on a different service of my xbox are not my fault
or the developers. If u dear microsoft and your dear moderators and ambassadors want to tell me as a "solution" to mess around with port forwarding or my ISP settings and firewalls, well guess what, not everyone is a network specialist and not everyone can
afford to buy an expensive EXTRA cable modem just so they can enjoy their already expensive console AND MONTHLY PAID services. So please, on the next console, write this on the box too, that network knowledge is a MUST if u want to enjoy our console.

That being said, if ANYONE has ANY solution to my Minecraft problem I'd really appreciate it. Forget about party chat I use skype, and Unity, well doesn't matter anymore, and forget about my whining, just mind the error and a possible solution, thanks.

Already contacted microsoft support, Im terribly disappointed because it was my 20th time at least, and not a single time I received any actual help whatsoever. The support guys are really polite and helpful no one can argue with that, and they do try hard,
but they can't figure out what the problem is because it is in fact not normal.

Sorry for the anger, u gotta understand it burns to pay for something monthly and not get what u paid for. Not to mention from now on every game I wanna buy I have to be worried omg is it going to work online can i play it online what if i cant and and and.

Minecraft "Connection failed"

Okay so I fired up Minecraft and ran the update.

I tried to log into my worlds but I keep getting "Connection failed - connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu"

Interesting I'm able to start a new world but when I go back I get the same message.

Can someone help me?

Wired or Wireless (for each console): tried both ways no difference, mostly wired

Things you have tried: xbox is in a DMZ, still the xbox live ports are all opened and forwarded

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown: Yes it is Enabled

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: NAT OPEN for both me and my friend

Any Error Codes you encounter: no error codes, just the mentioned error from the game about the servers, multiplayer and connection tests both come back 100% working and ok

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): fitflat.de

 

Has there been a resolution to this problem? I am experiencing the same. Both players have NAT Open, no error codes. Both players have download of MC for Xbox One. But when either of us start a party and the other tries to join, we get the error message
"Connection Failed. Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." MC still works for us on 360.

 

I'm having the same problem. For what it's worth, I have a degree in Computer Science so I'm pretty sure it's not me.

 

Having the issue now too. Hope this works soon as i've put a lot of hours into my "world.". Any advice? Was working fine this morning...

 

... to be clear, the prob I'm having is the "connection failed exiting to main menu" messgae whenever I try to load my world.

 

Getting the issue where no games will even load. Are the servers down? It's getting old spending money on games that are constantly inaccessible on this console. XBOX has lost a lifetime XBOX gamer with the XBOX One. It has easily been the worst console
I have ever owned. It's either PlayStation or whatever option is available other than an XBOX for my next gaming platform. It's no wonder Sony is killing Microsoft right now.

 

I haven't bad a problem until today. All of my worlds won't load. Hope it gets fixed soon.

 

Having same problem, checked NAT on both xones and all the router port forwarding on both as well as dmz on both. this has to be a microsoft issue at this point. just bummed as we got these for xmas for the sole purpose of this game with my son

 

Has anyone tried reinstalling the game? And are you all using the default skins/packs?

And have you merged your world from the 360 or started a new world on the xboxone?

I merged my world from my 360 and using the default packs with no issues.

 

Hello all,

Have you been trying to connect with just each other or with a third party. Try clearing your MAC address its under setting-network-advanced options-clear MAC address. If this doesn't help try restarting your console from the snap-an-app application.
