    I installed Minecraft and realized that i could get the windows 10 edition for free, but when i tried using the code it said it was already taken.

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    I typed in the code for xbox live 3 months and it said its already been reddemed

    I put in the code and it said its already been redeemed so what do i do

    If you owned and played Minecraft PC version before, you're eligible to get Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition for free and you will receive the code from Mojang. May I know if this is the first time that you tried redeeming the code that you received? If so,
    I recommend that you contact our
    Xbox Support     so that they could be able to double check the status of the code that you have and provide you an option on how to get a new code for the game.

    Thank you for responding to my question. But when he tried to redeem the code again it said it was redeemed already, He access to Minecraft Bedrock edition but it still says he needs to buy Java Edition. He's using the same account he redeemed the code on the Minecraft Launcher.

    I am not an expert, and I have the same problem. I first bought the "Minecraft: Java Edition", I wanted to use the redeem code to get "Minecraft for Windows 10", so I clicked "Redeem", I got the code, but when I entered it, it said "The code has already
    been redeemed.", I checked my order history, it said that I had bought "Minecraft for Windows 10" using the code, but when I clicked install, it keeps showing me a small window with my code. I then checked whether if the account/email on Mojang, Minecraft.net,
    and Microsoft Store, it was the same. So I don't get why I can't install "Minecraft for Window 10".

    I'm sorry, I didn't mention that I am using my computer not an Xbox. I have no past due balances and tried to redeem the code again, but it says already redeemed. Its for Minecraft if that helps anything.
