    Minecraft chat not working while streaming with Windows 10 app


    I use the Windows 10 app to stream my xbox to my PC when I play. Normally, when I enter chat, the app will provide a type bar for me to type my message which will then appear on the xbox, allowing me to type with my keyboard instead of the xbox controller.
    Since a recent update, when I type in this bar, the characters are doubled in the chat. This symptom only happens in Minecraft, and not any other game or service. I have included a screen shot to show how it looks. Any help or information would be appreciated.

    Hello Ported,

    No, you do not need to be streaming in order to use party chat. You can use party chat directly from the Windows 10 app.

    As regards Minecraft, unfortunately there the answer is no. You cannot at this time connect to people on Minecraft Xbox One from the Windows 10 version.

    Windows 10 Game Streaming Microphone Not Working!

    So recently when Game Streaming through the Xbox App on Windows 10 I used to be able to talk to people with my microphone while game streaming in game chat and party chat, but after some updates, it no longer works and says no microphone detected! I've followed
    EVERY step in setting the microphone as a default playback/recording device and no success. I can use the party chat feature in the Xbox App but I can't use my mic while streaming which is frustrating!

    No, you do not need to be streaming in order to use party chat. You can use party chat directly from the Windows 10 app.

    As regards Minecraft, unfortunately there the answer is no. You cannot at this time connect to people on Minecraft Xbox One from the Windows 10 version.

    So you don't have to setup a W10 environment on my Mac then?
    I just found out about
    OneCast    , that basically is the MacOS streaming equivalent for the Windows 10 App.

    While you can't use the other Xbox App features like Party chat, social interaction and store purchases, the OneCast App for MacOS and iOS devices allows you to stream 1080p gameplay to your iMac or iOS device, and send control information back to the console.

    So it basically works like the streaming for the Windows 10 Xbox App.

    However, be aware, that it's not a free app. But it's much cheaper than having to buy a full Windows 10 OS. (Unless you still have an UNUSED Windows 7 or Windows 8 lying around, you can use these serial numbers to license a

    free Windows 10 download     for your Mac).

    It really wont work on any operating system other than windows 10. The windows 10 app is the only legitimate way to stream your xbox to play on the move. Personally i use a macbook with windows 10 bootcamped on it, native support for the controller is good,
    as is the ability to use game sound/ party chat through the macbook

    So therefore there is no physical connection through the Mini DisplayPort just over the Home Network, is that correct.

    I'm having the exact same issue. I have the logitech G930s too. While using the xbox app for just party use you won't be able to hear others and they can't hear you. The headset works correctly with game sounds while streaming to xbox one back to PC but
    still won't work in the parties. The issue is that the headset will just not work at all with any type of xbox party function... While streaming xbox one to PC or while just using the party system in the xbox application for windows 10. (Microphone and earphones
    will not work in party chat as said... while the ability to create, leave, and join the party actually work.)
