Minecraft chat doesn't work.

I have been playing Minecraft Bedrock for 5-6 years now or something, one of my favorite servers is mineplex and the hive but mainly mineplex. For some odd reason when I type something in the chat, it doesn't show up for other people, so basically for 5 years I've been sending messages in the chat and talking to myself. I spoke with a moderator at mineplex and they told me that i wasn't in trouble, and that it was simply a glitch, they gave me some methods people have fixed this issue, one of those methods is spamming the period button to try and get the system to recognize you, but nothing has worked for me. at the bottom of their support page it said the last thing you could do if nothing works is contact Xbox or something since the game is Microsoft. So here I am, five years later trying to fix this issue, any way you guys could help?

Actually I just followed this thread and watched their video and managed to fix the chat issue. I guess you can lock this thread now since I found the solution to the problem. Its basically where you spam "!@#$%^&*()_-:"]" until it says "you can't send similar messages" or something like that.

When you get a moment, can you please let me know what you asked Mojang when you reached out to them? I'd still like to understand why they suggested for you to alter your account email, password, location if this is an in-game chat issue.

As for a family account, you can learn everything about family accounts and settings here: Gaming for the whole family. Please keep in mind that family accounts are typically used for parents to prevent children from accessing higher rated games, blocking out specific online features, etc. Since you are able to use chat settings in other Xbox titles, I do not believe you have any restrictions that we would be able to assist with on the forums and your account may already be set as an adult account with no restrictions.

It’s mainly minecraft, I don’t really play other Xbox titles that require chat, they all have voice chat so it’s only minecraft online

Thank you for contacting Mojang regarding the error you're receiving. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with in-game related issues and may only assist if it may be a permissions issue on your Microsoft account which does not seem to be the case since you are able to communicate with others through voice on other Xbox titles. Reading the response from Mojang, they did not seem to mention anything regarding the in-game chat issues you are receiving. Did you contact Mojang and mention that you are unable to properly use chat features within those specific Minecraft servers? I'm curious about them mentioning adjusting your account settings such as email, password, location.
