As far as I'm aware, gift cards aren't reliable to use, but traditional credit cards or credit/debit cards work. I use visa myself and it seems to work with no compliant, as does MasterCard.

I just had this same issue it seems minecraft and the switch aren't properly working in unison. I am EXTREMELY sad about this and can't play minecraft with my brother.

The coin gift card was added to the Microsoft family account under my sons account name on 9/29/21 and it's now 10/9/21 and they still aren't showing up on his lenovo tablet when he logs into minecraft.

No they aren't punishing you

You have to realize that

A prepaid credit cards don't work well with online services

Because of online transactions and reoccuring purchased aren't being supported

You will have to check with the card provider to see if they are

Also register billing info on the vendor's site

B best option get a real creditcard

Prepaid cards have fees to activate etc

Not worth the hassle
