Minecraft - Can’t seem to link up with my son on servers (Xbox One & iOS)

When my son connects to a server on his iPad (Lifeboat Network for example), I can’t join him from my Xbox One. He’s even using a child account under my Xbox account and all of his permissions are set to allow. The only time we can get into the same
game is if we boot up one of our own worlds and then suddenly it appears under the LAN games section. Other than that, I can’t join him from either the Xbox Friends menu (even though I see him online) or in the game client itself. I’ve been all over Google
and haven’t really come up with much. Please help.

    :)

Please update the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app to work with iOS 11

Microsoft, please update the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app to work with iOS 11. Currently it’s incompatible with iOS 11 and therefore can’t be downloaded from the App Store anymore.

Here’s the link to the app on App Store: Xbox 360 SmartGlass by Microsoft Corporation https://itunes.apple.com/ch/app/xbox-360-smartglass/id480914036?l=en&mt=8

Trouble connecting Minecraft Apple TV edition to iOS PE.

    Hi there

I have a household of Minecraft addicts. We have Minecraft on Apple TV edition, iOS Pocket edition and via a Mac Mini.

I can connect two instances of iOS PE together via the LAN games options but I can’t connect the Apple TV edition to anything nor can I connect the Mac Mini version to anything.

All devices are on the same WiFi. All devices are open to LAN multiplayer. I’ve restarted devices and routers but nothing seems to work.

About 6 months ago the Apple TV edition DID connect to iOS PE and many hours were spent collaborating in one world but something has since changed. We now have a large world that has had many hours of construction, isolated on our Apple TV edition, inaccessible
    to everyone else.

I’ve tried all solutions i’ve found on various forums but I can’t seem to get the Apple TV edition to talk to anything anymore. The different devices can see each other as they pop up on each other’s LAN games. When I try and connect I get the error message
“disconnected from server”. Each device is logged in with a separate Xbox account.

    Can anyone help?

On your adult account go here and make sure the following 3 options are changed to this exact setting
Sign in to your Microsoft account and click on the child's account and allow the option on the first page called "Share stuff people make (Xbox 360: Member Content)" to everyone (must be everyone). Also, on the
first page, "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" to Friends or Everybody (optional). And on the xbox one/windows 10 tab the second option down, "Join multiplayer games", enable that.

If you changed anything, sign out and in on the device with the child account and it should start working.

When I select Xbox support from the Minecraft website, it sent me straight back to a Microsoft site. I chatted online with a Microsoft agent who sent me through some very generic troubleshooting steps. Then they told me that the Xbox One and iOS versions
aren't compatible with eachother. I closed the chat window after that. I've reached out to Minecraft support via email, we'll see what happens.

I don't even see the option regarding Xbox 360 member content. Everything is either set to allow or everyone. I've reached out to Minecraft support via email, we'll see what happens.

    Hi,

If all privacy settings are correct for you and your son's account ( check here > https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox-one-privacy-and-online-safety
) go to their official website to get help > https://minecraft.net/en-us/help/

    Hi Mohammed

Unfortunately I can’t follow them steps because am on a iOS device and it doesn’t let you clear cache, also the captures don’t seem to be uploading from my recent captures onto the Xbox live part from my Xbox series x on the dashboard screen, not sure if the problem is linked

    Cheers
