    Minecraft - Cannot Install Minecraft for Windows


    Recently I got the bundle for Java and Windows with the recent update. However, I am unable to install the Windows version. At first, it was that I was not using the newest launcher from the Store. Then, after some more issues, I downloaded the version from Xbox. Now, I was given the choice to 'Install'. However, when I click that, the option changes to 'Play' but it is almost greyed out. I cannot click it again and there is no downloading bar anywhere.

    I have uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired and restarted, and have even tried installing to a different place. I am simply getting very irritated as I wanted to play with friends.

    Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    Minecraft - Cannot Install Minecraft for Windows

    Check if your windows and all its services are up to date:

    - Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    - Click Check for Updates;

    - Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    If the issue persist:

    - In the windows search bar type "Powershell"

    - Right click and select open as administrator

    - Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers"

    Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and open the gamepass app, it will ask you to reinstall the gaming services, install it, and try again.

    After that try to install Minercraft again...
