    Me too, although in UK pounds.

    I don't really want to be double-charged and have to try and claim it back. A similar thing happened with games with gold bf3 last week, and that was fixed by the next day.

    I have been checking every day now to see if it ever goes to free for me. So far, it hasn't. I have played it a whole lot more than 5 hours over the past year according to the stats for it. I don't understand why it is still not showing as free for me. I

    Minecraft better together update

    Hi,

    If you own Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on disc and have played for at least 5 hours in the past 12 months or bought DLC, you’ll be able to upgrade to Minecraft for free, until January 30th 2018.

    If you haven’t played in the past 12 months, you can play five hours or purchase DLC before January 30th 2018 to unlock your upgrade.

    If you’re eligible based on your purchases or game play, you will see a copy of
    Minecraft available in Ready to install under My games & apps.

    If you don’t see this available then make sure that you’re signed in with the same account that was used to play or purchase content.

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.

    I have the same issue here. Seems a bit unfair that when you paid for a game you need to pay again for updates :S.

    I also created a support ticket for this and they said to keep on playing....

    WOnder if more people have this issue or that it did work for someone with the disc version
