    Minecraft Better Together update completely destroys original Xbox one world


    Was really looking forward to being able to play my world on my Xbox & laptop and eventually Switch but the update is awful.

    My house with stores of gold, iron, diamonds etc near my original spawn point is completely destroyed by a forest,, Empire State Building I built has just gone, even had one save where the sky was above and below me.

    My world is large and I've spent far too much time on it but I don't want to lose it.

    Sort this out Microsoft & Mojang or at least keep supporting the older versions until you do.

    Not happy ☹️

    Can’t earn achievements on Minecraft- Achievments on the world are NOT disabled. Please help?

    I can not earn achievements on Minecraft-the world I have does not have achievements disabled. It is a world that was uploaded from Xbox one edition after the Better Together update

    Minecraft Better Together Compatability

    Hi, I’ve had Minecraft PE on my iPad and built many worlds. Since the Better Together update and having downloaded Minecraft on my Xbox One I tried syncing my worlds across from my iPad but they don’t come up? Please can someone help me!? Minecraft Better Together update completely destroys original Xbox one world :)

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this issue. A few months ago, a Beta version of Minecraft for their upcoming update was mistakenly released, causing many games to update and if a world was opened during the Beta, then if you've returned
    to the current version you will need to wait until Minecraft fully updates to the version that was under beta testing before they will be available.

    Another possibility is that you're using a previous version of Minecraft for Xbox One and have updated to the new Minecraft "Better Together" version. If this is the case, then you simply need to sync your worlds.

    Minecraft updates and versions

    To sync your worlds from the Xbox One Edition to Minecraft:

    1. Sign into your console using the account with which you previously saved your Xbox One Edition world.
    2. Launch Minecraft, and then select Play from the main menu.
    3. On the Worlds tab, select Sync Old Worlds if your existing games haven’t already been migrated.
    4. Select the world that you want to migrate and wait for the conversion to complete.
    5. Your world will now sync to the new Minecraft when you sign in.

    Give the troubleshooting a try and let us know the results.

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.

    To play Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from a disc, you’ll need to install it while in offline mode on your Xbox One. Once the installation is complete, launch the game before connecting to Xbox Live again.
    You’ll be able to play Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from that disc going forward, whether you are online or offline.
