    Minecraft Beta won't install, no matter what


    Like many I'm trying to get the new RTX beta. Yesterday I redeemed my Minecraft key from my ancient Mojang account and installed it. The normal Minecraft works flawless.

    However when I join the beta from the Insider hub, it acts as if everything is fine - but won't update the installed Minecraft. This seemed to be a common problem on the first day - but it's been a week or so. I've tried every common solution: Reinstalling, rebooting, changing in and out of betas, waiting a day, forcing updates - nothing. So what's going on? It's not like this is complicated process where you could make a mistake.

    I'm stuck on 1.14.60

    Neither normal beta nor RTX beta work by the way - and yes I do have an RTX card.

    It says I won't be able to connect with non-beta players if I join the minecraft beta, so I'm not sure if that's going to help me connect to multiplayer servers. Unless I just need to have it installed but disabled?
    Edit: I installed it and it activated the beta, and I get the same message when trying to connect to a server.

    A few days ago the Beta was accidentally sent out to all xbox one players.

    Beta will prevent you from joining any realms aswell.

    V1.10.0 is what is currently available, anything higher is the beta. You will need to uninstall and reinstall minecraft if the beta was installed.

    Is it possible that your friends signed up for the Minecraft Beta in the Insider App?

    If that's the case, your friends either need to leave the Minecraft Beta and play on the "regular" version, or you'll have to install the Xbox Insider App, and join the Minecraft Beta as well.
