    Minecraft Bedrock edition on xbox one - no block of iron!


    So I started a new survival on bedrock edition on xbox one, and as I'm going to create a block of iron for an anvil, I can't find the recipe at all, even with a load of iron in my hand. I tried putting the
    iron ingots into the nine boxes myself but nothing shows up. And when I type in block of iron it doesn't show up. I've tried looking it up but can't find anything, just stuff for xbox one edition java which I'm not playing, so no, the block of iron doesn't
    come under any other blocks. This means there's a bunch of stuff I can't make and most probably aren't able to finish the game now or get achievements, e.g. making a golem. Two other people I know with the bedrock edition on xbox one have the same issue, so
    it's not just my game. This has been like this for a good few months now if not a year.

    Tried looking it up but can't find anything for bedrock edition on xbox one. Also tried asking on Minecraft forum but no help there.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Also, clicking my map on a banner to create a waypoint isn't working either.

    I own an minecraft disc version on xbox one and it says I need to update it to the latest version but when I try to update it it takes me to buy the game section can someone help me

    How do i know if i am running bedrock edition of Minecraft?

    Check the title of the game in your Games and Apps. If it's just Minecraft than it's the bedrock edition. If it's Minecraft Xbox One Edition, it's not.

    If you have Minecraft: Xbox One Edition you should automatically get Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Free. Hope this helps!

    Minecraft Xbox One Edition is no longer available as a digital copy. It was replaced with the Bedrock Edition.

    There are several different versions of minecraft. Minecraft: Java edition is PC only and can only crossplay with Java players (mac, Lenox, PC) The minecraft that doesnt have a version next to it is the play together version or more commonly called bedrock.
    Bedrock is the version that can be played across mobile, console, and PC. There are also editions that are made specifically for most consoles and even a stand alone mobile version. Examples would be Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
    These do not work with Bedrock which is just called Minecraft. Java is the most updated version of minecraft while bedrock would be right behind that one. The others I'm really not sure how often they update them if at all. Each edition of Minecraft has to
    be purchased separately. I happen to own both Minecraft: Xbox one edition and Minecraft since they released at separate times. I also have Java on my PC. As for your issue they do not have a Bedrock version on the 360.
