    Minecraft Bedrock Edition Mod Support


    Many people don't know that there is mod support for Minecraft Bedrock you can even experience them in VR with the Gear VR Edition and on Oculus Rift with the Bedrock Edition.

    They’ll also work in Xbox Live friends multiplayer, LAN and on Realms, so you can play with friends.

    Where can I download mods from?

    There are many sites on the internet to download mods from I recommend
    curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-addons

    How do I install mods?

    Firstly make sure the mod is for Bedrock and not Java just make sure it is a ".McPack" for a mod and ".McWorld" for a world.

    Then simply open the file (double click it) like you would a text document and it will import it automatically to the game.

    How do I use a mod?

    Once you have imported the mod (see above) open Minecraft and find the world you want to use the mod on then go down to either Behaviour Pack Tab or Resource Pack Tab and click the mod then press Activate. Please see Can mods break my world?

    You can do awesome things with mods… like blowing up your world or creating a monster that fills your world with fireballs or lava.

    You may be so good at creating monsters that those splendid new mobs end up eating your worlds before you can stop them.

    So it is best to create a new world or back up your world before enabling a mod especially if you made the mod yourself.

    Do Realms work with mods?

    Yes, but they needed their own unique ID, UUID meaning it cannot use the same ID as a marketplace or official add-on if it does you will need to change the ID and UUID for it to work. (If you are not using a Realm (such as single player, Xbox Live friends
    or LAN) you do not need a unique ID or UUID)

    I am new to modding and want to make my own mod how do I do that?

    Minecraft Xbox one edition is no longer supported only bedrock

    The Xbox browser is mostly for looking at product information, and has the ability to download disabled deliberately as a security measure. The likelihood of this changing is very low

    You cannot mod Xbox games as they are secure and encrypted. The only way you can mod a game is through game menus curated by the developer, in this case the Minecraft store on the bedrock edition

    Hi,

    I have been playing Minecraft since 2013, and have experience with Minecraft: Java Edition for PC, Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (which I think you are referring to as 'legacy'?) and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile devices.

    'Diamond apples' have never existed in any 'vanilla' version of the game.

    That being said, they could be included in some modded versions of the game, or perhaps in an add-on pack. However, many mods are only applicable to Minecraft: Java Edition, and the original question never mentioned a modded version of Bedrock, leaving me to believe it was merely a misconception.

    Moreover, Bedrock Edition is a completely separate game to Xbox One Edition (which was its predecessor). There were no possible mods for Xbox One Edition, and 'diamond apples' did not exist in that version, meaning that there was no way in which to add them.

    Is this the Bedrock edition of Minecraft you're trying to play, or is this the Java edition? Those would be different solutions to get the controller to work.

    I'm understanding your setup is a PC with Xbox 360 wireless controller receiver, an Xbox 360 controller, and Minecraft. The controller is working for other titles on the PC, but not so in Minecraft, correct? I am GUESSING that it's the Java version, because
    I do know that the Bedrock edition has built in controller support. The Java edition would require additional mods to make it work, and if so, I would recommend reviewing the Official Minecraft forums for the best solutions that have mods from a trustworthy

    I believe Minecraft bedrock edition (the one on windows 10 and Xbox) does not support mods. Java Edition (only available on PCs) however does but they're 2 different games and I believe you would need to buy that version if you want access to mods.
