Minecraft Bedrock crashes on startup

Hi there. I wanna report a problem and maybe get a solution.

Since the last update which was already problematic(I had to uninstall and reinstall minecraft, plus reluctantly get the game launcher), whenever I try starting the game, it crashes at black screen.(first the red screen with mojang logo, then the black, then crash just before progress bar)

I have windows 10 and i have purchased minecraft bedrock some while back. and it's been running smoothly up to now.

I have already tried rebooting my desktop, reinstalling minecraft, but so far to no avail.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly repair the game by following the steps below:

Settings > Apps & Features > Apps > Search for the game > Advanced Options > Repair > Restart your PC.

Hi,

With the help of Intel Support, I solved the issue. It was the custom/OEM Dell graphics drivers. You need to use the generic drivers provided by Dell. I edited the post to provide the problem and solution to help others. Thanks.

Hello,

Are you using an integrated graphics card, or do you have a separate installed GPU? Could you also check what version of DirectX is on your PC: Which version of DirectX is on your PC? Also are you on Windows 10 or Windows 11?

In addition, because you are experiencing an issue with a specific game, could you at the same time please submit a support request to Mojang so that they are aware of this issue and maybe even offer help in case they have seen this issue before: Submit a Request

Hi,

It's an Intel Iris Xe / Intel Iris Xe MAX combo. I believe it's an integrated graphics with another dedicated graphics renderer, or something. So a hybrid. It says DirectX 12.

I'm on Windows 11 now, but the issue occured on Windows 10 as well. Upgrading was one of the things I tried to do to fix it.

I did submit a report to Mojang, and they responded essentially I should submit something to this forum:
