Minecraft addon links not working through Microsoft Edge

I’ve been trying to download a texture pack on my xbox one s minecraft account. I have a link through mediafire and every time I try to download the file, it goes into my file explorer. That itself isn’t the problem, but when I then try to open the download,
a screen comes up after my xbox already has searched .mcpack on the xbox store. Instead of searching for mcpack on the gamestore, why am I not directed to a screen that opens minecraft to install the texture pack in-game. Maybe something needs to be reworked?
I saw a similar question about this was resolved, so why is this same issue occurring for me?

You have to buy packages and DLCs from Minecraft's Xbox store, and not from external sites

For Xbox you have to buy directly from the Xbox store or the in game Minecraft store. You can download files like that for the mobile versions but to get them on Xbox it has to come from the store.

If you're playing on Xbox, then you can only download texture packs through the in-game store, meaning that you can't import your texture pack in.

You can't install Minecraft Addons on the Xbox console through the Internet Browser.

The console only allows addons adn texture packs from the official Minecraft Store inside the game.

You can only use these add ons that you download through a browser on your Windows 10 PC.

I tried on microsoft edge now, same result.

And yes, my account works correctly on other places, I can access my email without problem and I'm also using the account right now to talk here.

I will attempt to contact minecraft help through the link you provided now.
