Minecraft Account Hacked/Stolen

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately my Minecraft account has been hacked and stolen from me.

Recently, we had to move email address due to a change in broadband plan. Somehow during this process a few accounts were hacked that were linked to my old e-mail address. Though I have managed to recover everything else, I'm unable to recover my Minecraft account.

I have tried to use Microsoft support website, though I can't seem to get through to anyone, and Minecraft (Mojang) are unable to help me.

I am aware that there is no typo in my passwords. Firstly, I write them down in a little book. Second, the account username has been changed alongside the player skin. Neither of which were me.

I have the original transaction ID to show proof of purchase of the account. I have access to the original email address the account was linked to. I am likely to have almost anything to prove ownership, but I am unable to contact anyone about it.

Please help, I'd be really grateful.

Yes he is, the problem is that before we reset his account on the Windows PC, it looked like his Minecraft account was taken over by a @mcmfa.email account that we never saw before. Can it be hacked/stolen?

Hello again, in this case you should contact Xbox Customer Service via chat and request an ATO (Account Takeover), this is because this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and procedures that Xbox Support has.

However, ATO is a similar procedure to the online form, but done by a Microsoft agent, it will need as much information as possible for you to do the procedure.

Here in the community we are independent consultants, so we do not have access to the same information and tools that support has.

Each account recovery case is unique, and if you request the ATO, you must wait for a response from Microsoft's investigation department.

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately, since the account has been moved when I try to fill the form out it says that the Microsoft account does not exist.

I'm unsure what to put instead.

Well, without proof that it was hacked/stolen it wouldn't be locked.. for example, if someone reported my account as being stolen or hacked.. they would need proof to support their report. Did you provide proof?
