Minecraft account disappeared

I have a paid Minecraft account. I migrated it from Mojang to Microsoft a while ago with no issues. A few months back, I had to change the email address associated with my microsoft account. It has been a while since I have played Minecraft, and I thought that I would try playing it again today. But, when I opened the launcher, it did not think that I had a paid account and would only let me access the demo.

I tried logging in with the old email address, but it wouldn't let me. I tried logging in with Mojang, but it wouldn't let me. So, it should be connected to my new email like my microsoft account is, but I can't get into it.

I don't know if it's relevant, but when I logged into the launcher, it insisted that I had to choose a new gamer tag. If I go to the list of accounts in the launcher, it has the one that I was just forced to set up and a second one that appears to be what my old account is connected to. But it won't allow me to log into the other one.

It means that you have used a different Microsoft account where you have migrated your Mojang account. Kindly check all of your Microsoft accounts to make sure.

Thank you for your response! I just started Minecraft to try this fix and the issue seems to have solved itself! My username is back to normal and I can start and play Minecraft again

Not sure what happened but I am glad to have it back!

I found the problem. When trying to log in with my old email, I was using an out of date password. The issue is solved.

Okay, so I can play Minecraft again for some reason and just to be sure I went to my Microsoft account via my Minecraft launcher in order to look which account I am using for it, but it seems to bring up my account with again the randomly generated username and when I go to the Minecraft website via this account it says I have not purchased Java. Is there any way to fix that? Because I'd like to be able to change stuff in my account as well as not have this happen again.
