Unyo I would buddy but like defy, I just prefer console for gaming. I am hoping to get a PC for gaming on things that don't come to Xbox by xmas so I may give it a whirl then.

Sonic, that's a good point dude. Though I imagine it would let you load your world using the pre-determined choice of what texture you want to use. I have a world I used the Halloween pack on yet in the normal standard pack it looks silly. If they port packs
over, and made them free so you didn't have to repurchase, I would be happy as I am sure many others would be.

I hope the consoles get the same update the PC is about to get, it includes sliders for terrain generation adjustments to allow for more control over the creation of terrain.

I hope the console versions get as close to the PC as possible. I wouldn't mind people uploading maps / worlds to the cloud, for other members to download. That would be pretty nice!

 

Sliding scale buttons (like the volume control on old stereos (so if you generate a mountain terrain you can slide the slider to make them even bigger etc...

 

I know some people will reject the possibility of playing on PC automatically but I only brought this up because you guys are really missing out on tons of free content that make the game so much better. Let me put it a way you guys might understand a little
better(no this is not an insult from a PC elitist). Team Fortress 2 on console is a good game. Team Fortress 2 is good but adds tons of content like new weapons/levels/gameplay improvements/hats/ect for free. Unless you have no access to a PC there is no reason
to play it on console. You'd just be choosing to play a stripped down version.

So at least take a look at all your missing before you waste money buying a second copy of a stripped down port.

 

Ohhhh I like that slider thing! Many times I have though...this could be just a little bit smaller and had to spend hours bricking away to chip it to size. That would be nice to have!

Unyo, its cool mate. We know you aint bashing us from your PC seriously though, I probably would game on PC but I just cant break away from the consoles. They seem much more relaxed and enjoyable for me, that and I would so miss achievements. Though as
mentioned, I am getting a PM for xmas so I will likely game then on there, occasionally.

 

Get a decent computer chair and there's really no difference. Switching to keyboard and mouse seems hard at first but most people take right to it in a day or two. PC Minecraft also has achievements btw.

Btw to be clear I was strictly a console gamer for most of my life. Not because of fanboyism or anything that though we just couldn't afford a PC. Once I got a taste of PC gaming though I was hooked. It really is like taking gaming to the next level. You
can do so much more and you're not limited to what the console maker decides you can do with the product you purchased. I hope some of you give PC MC a chance I seriously doubt you'll be able to regret it.

 

People like the convenience and simplicity of console gaming and for that they accept it's limitations, I have gamed on a high end PC and whilst it does have some advantages I prefer console gaming for the reasons I mentioned at the beginning of my post...

Automatic updates? Windows can download the latest drivers for you automatically. Steam and Origin automatically update games if you want. Origin and Steam also have the option to upload your saves to the cloud.

On a convenience level there is no significant difference these days between a console and a PC.

 

i think wilko might be referring to the convenience of knowing that when you buy a game for whatever console, it will most definitely work and look as good as it can on that system. sure there are probably going to be bugs on some games that might affect
some copies and not others, but it's not going to be quite to the effect of having to look up hardware specifications on pc games. i had a fantastic gaming desktop i bought years ago, it could play crysis at medium to high settings with little to no hiccups...now
it can't play half the low end titles coming out today, whereas i'm playing the biggest AAA games today on my ps3 and 360 without any worry, albeit at lower graphical levels than pc...but it's all about the give and take, which is where the convenience comes
into play i suppose.

 

I like to go to a shop, pick up a game, put it into my console and play it with no problems, that is much more likely to happen on a console than a PC.

There is nothing wrong with PC gaming, I just prefer the no strings simplicity of console gaming, and to be honest with you console gaming is getting closer to PC gaming to the point there is not much difference nowadays except I don't have to update the hardware
on my console every 12 months to play the latest game...

The only problems you'll encounter with MC on PC is when you play multiplayer, unless you have a bad PC. To avoid those problems just avoid servers with lots of mods and other extra stuff. Vanilla MC is still awesome as I'm sure you all know. If you play
it on PC you can join servers with 50+ players instead of w/e low number console gives you and the PC servers are persistent so no waiting for your buddy to log on.

sorry to say there you show you don't know what you are talking about.

It was only last year I was on a system with a e6600 CPU, GeForce 8600GTS and 2gb of RAM. Yet with seven year old hardware it played Tomb Raider and Battlefield 3 with settings at least as good as what the 360 was putting out.

You don't need to continually upgrade and a big part of that is thanks to consoles, because they tend to be the target and as such the games are made to run on their hardware.
