Minecraft - 360 to Xbox One Upgrade Program issue

Hello support!

I own the disc based version of Minecraft (for Xbox 360) and have played online (and earned achievements). However, for some reason, I still can not take advantage of the Xbox One $4.99 upgrade offer (still shows up as $19.99). You can take a look at my
Achievements list to see my piddly 3 Minecraft achievements (I know, sad - but I just haven't had time to really dive in!)

As per the Mojang FAQ & Xbox Support on Twitter, I've played the game twice in the past week, and both times waited the suggested 48-72 hrs before checking.

I have a Gold Membership, and I haven't had any issues with other purchases.

upgrading to xbox one edition of minecraft need help

ok so i have minecraft on my 360 and i want to upgrade it to the xbox one edition will i not be able to play it on the 360 if i upgrade it my son loves playing minecraft on 360 so i really don't want to see him lose it on the 360 so really my question would
be

i upgrade to xbox one edition of minecraft do i lose the rights to play it on the 360?

Question, Have you purchased Minecraft on Xbox 360 and connected it to your profile? Also have you tried to Actually purchase Minecraft Xbox One Edition? You should take a look at this post:

I can't say this will work or not but try having the game running on your account on the 360 then head over to the Xbox One and see if the system will give you the proper pricing then.

 

So, a quick update - as this has not yet been resolved.

I have played my disc based Minecraft for over a half hour about 5 days ago.

If you look at my achievements, you'll be able to verify that I did in fact play the full version (my disc based version).

I can't prove that I was online - but I was.

I've checked and confirmed that I still can not purchase the Xbox One upgrade for $5. It's the same account/gamertag. I've followed the FAQ to the letter and I've reached out and followed the directions (3 times now) from Xbox Twitter Support. If anyone
can assist me further with this, that would be much appreciated.

I appreciate the fact that you're busy, but I'd still like to have this issue resolved. I satisfied all the criteria to get Minecraft Xbox One upgrade for $5, but it won't allow me to.

Sorry, haven't seen your replies to this thread. I have sent a pm to Misses Quinzel about this issue. She should get back to you within a couple of days to help sort things out.

 

Hey there, Axcalibur! I'm very sorry to see that this promotion hasn't propped for you yet. I'd like to double check a few more things if you are okay with that.

I apologize if Twitter had you do these troubleshooting steps. I do see that you have the achievements on your profile here. Hopefully you haven't already done these, and I am sorry to say that part of it is a a few more days of waiting. However, if those
days of waiting don't work out for this, we will look into other options for you.

• Remove your profile on your Xbox 360
  
• Clear the cache on your console 3 times
  
• Power cycle your console
• Download your profile on your Xbox 360
  
• Remove your profile on your Xbox One
  
• Hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until it shuts off
• Turn the console back on
• Download your profile on your Xbox One
• Launch the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition on your 360
• It should prompt for a title update
• Once that is done, you only need to play in the game for a bit

Check your Xbox One or the
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition page to see if you are getting the promotion now. If not, please wait the 48-72 hours as we had you try previously.

If, on Monday the 10th, you are still unable to see the promotion, please post back in here. We will look at what our next steps are then.

However, if you have already done these steps exactly how I have provided them, please post back and we will look at what to do from there.

Again, my sincerest apologies to see that this promotion hasn't shown up for you. Hopefully my steps have solved this for you.
