minecraft 360 saves coming over to xbox one

Not to play devils advocate but the wording in the tweet could be misleading. I really hope that all saves will transfer over but might it mean that the game itself will. Meaning we won't have to pay for it again? Maybe GWG style. I hope it's the former...

 

When it comes out for Xbox 1, I hope that I will still be able to play my 360 worlds ON my 360 and that we won't be forced to only play our 360 worlds (which I've saved to my 360 slim 250gb console's HDD) on Xbox 1. This is because I only have about 8 friends
who have an Xbox 1 console. And almost 100 on my 360 friends list continue to play on 360. And I still want to play Minecraft on 360 when it comes out on Xbox 1 cuz Xbox 360 is still an amazing gaming console. I'm happy to pay for a Minecraft Xbox 1 Edition.
It shouldn't be as expensive as Forza 5 COD or BF4.

As for the achievement comment, is the X1 achievements different to 360? I hope so.

 

They're bound to be, x1 has 1000g on just about all the games i have seen, with peggle 2 and trials both being a 1000g you can bank on them basically adding most of them pc achievements etc and taking it up to 1000gs worth

 

True ^ I would hope so too LTA to be honest mate. Although the one achievement that I raged on at the 360 version was pig riding -_- they never go where you want them to!

pig riding was a pain i still haven't done it could never be assed but now we have carrot on a stick, should be simples

 

Here's a question: Considering the limited world size of the X360 Edition and the improved world size of the XOne Edition, will our old worlds that are carried over into next-gen be expanded in size or stay the same size as they were on the X360?

I personally hope they get bigger because my world was made pre-patch and has a lot of things that would be nice to have added (like deserts, jungles, cactus, watermelons, carrots, potatoes, etc.)

@cloud did u do the pig riding my friend because i know a easy way to do it. you get a pig put fences round it and make a deep hole ride the pig down the hole and BOOM

 

I think they'd expand since it can just generate the new terrain onto the borders of your 360 terrain, prolly just be a small corner of the bigger world, be a good way to get strongholds etc to people who still have old generated worlds

were on the X360?[/quote]Expanded world sizes are planned for the Pocket Edition and they've said that the Pocket Edition worlds will be upgradeable to infinite size. You'd think they could do the same for 360/PS3. No word on adding new "stuff" to a world,
though.

Maps will be a problem. Maps in the PC version function quite a bit differently than the maps in the 360 version, though they're less necessary as one can hit a button and get the coordinates one is at any time on the PC version.

 

How do they transfer the maps are they saved to your account?
