Minecraft 360 Edition not loading from disc

Ok,

I've been looking for an answer for three days but nothing seems to work thus far.

Parameters are as follows:

360 S

Mincraft disc

Opens to load game dialog, hit this and it just spins (like forever)

Updates installed, initally had a used disc, just baught a new disc, same issue.

Tried new profile, offline, delete local cache, reformat HDD, etc, etc, combinations of all of the above....please help mt 10 yr old is driving me crazy!!!

xbox 360 will not upload from disc to hard drive.

Ok, just found this thread from the Minecraft forums. Apparently because the game is an Arcade game it cannot be installed and must be played from the disc.

Inability to play a game

You need to buy Minecraft not Minecraft Xbox one edition. The one edition has been delisted from the xbox marketplace and replaced with Minecraft. If you want the one edition you would have to look for it on disc.

 

You might have a corrupt save file. Delete everything associated with Minecraft off your HDD, clear cache, then do LB + RB + X on the Storage screen to delete all updates. Reboot your console. Install your game, boot it up, install updates, try it again.

 

If that does not work try diffrent game if u hve same issue buy can compressed air open tray spray middle in lft rt sweepin motion then drive is bad ...

 

Spraying compressed air into an enclosed space like a drive is a bad idea. It can create clumps which can get stuck on mechanical parts (either the laser track or the disc eject mechanism) and cause problems. If there's any problems reading the disc the
game will halt and the console will tell you to clean the disc.

It's not the disc, or the game. It's a software issue. Try the fixes I outlined. Also, try booting the game up without any storage devices installed. If it works insert them one by one to figure out which one is causing your issue.
