Discus and support Minecraft 2 players in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Hi We have a Xbox 360 - the Minecraft game, and 2 controllers - but we can't get it into split screen, despite following all the other tips on here...     Hi

    We have a Xbox 360 - the Minecraft game, and 2 controllers - but we can't get it into split screen, despite following all the other tips on here (and elsewhere).

    I have an HD TV, and a Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable - switched to HD - but no joy.

    Any tips?

    An HDMI cable is required in this case. You'll need to use an HDMI cable to output the console audio/video to enable 2 player split-screen.

    EDIT: So I'm not sure why it's not working. It only says an HDTV is needed.

    I assume my model is old, and doesn't have one......does that mean we can never play two players???

    I know it works through a VGA output, so I don't think the Component cable is the problem and HDMI is not required. Check what your resolution output is set at on your Xbox display settings - just enabling the HD switch on the plug does not automatically
    up the resolution to HD so you may still be running at SD resolution. Turn it up as high as your TV/monitor will allow with a good picture. Try this and let me know how it worked - if it doesn't I'll check some other things and may even test it with my component

    it shows only two settings- PAL 50 or PAL 60 - and it's set to PAL 60.

    or if you have the old AV cable they had a switch to TV to HDTV and if its on TV it wont work it must be on HDTV to work

    Hey there, did you happen to switch TV's at all? You can only play Minecraft splitsreecn on a HD TV.

    Minecraft 2 player....

    In order to play two players on the same console you must have 2 gamer profiles on that console. You can create a second gamer profile right on the dash board of the xbox 360. Once you have set up a second profile, start a game of Minecraft (I suggest
    from the main profile) and from there hit start on the second controller and both of you will be in the game. You will be playing in split screen and can change if it is vertical or horizontal in the game settings.
