    Minecraft 1.20 Failed to sync World data


    Hi there Forum Community, I recently just lost my 3 year old world to a bug/glitch with Minecraft that says Sync World Data? And then since the world is 2.4 GB, I takes about 17 min. and then at the end of the instillation it says "Failed to Sync World Data", even though It reached 100%. I've already tried to restart my Xbox, unplug it for a couple minutes, reinstall Minecraft, but nothing seems to work. Can you please help? I miss my dog Max and my cat Brownie and my mega base. Minecraft 1.20 Failed to sync World data :(

    Hey Josef, I recently went over to a friends house, and when I signed in with my account, It loaded the worlds successfully! Then, when I went home, I opened Minecraft and sure enough, I re-downloaded the game and low and behold my worlds were back! I think this could be a very useful fix to any future world corruption/ data sync problems to any other fellow Minecrafter's!

    Yeah, I'll probably be doing that on the future, I know that if i did that, i'd have some lost progress, but at least i'd have the world. Thank you for trying to help and I hope you have a great day.

    Hi :c sorry to hear that.
    In your case sadly the world is lost.

    To avoid a similar situation in the future try to do regular backups. One per week or one every 15 days. In that way you can restore the backup in case that something happens to the world

    no, unfortunately to access the detail of the world i need to have world access to make a copy which means syncing the world data which I cannot do. Thank you though for trying, and have a great day. :)
