Minecon @ London - World Record Broken!

As Minecon began to kick off, a Guiness World Record Ajudicator came on stage to announce Minecon 2015 @ London broke the world record for the biggest gaming convention for a single game.

Boasting over 10,000 attendees, Minecon is officially the biggest single convention for a single game ever held in the world.

Kudos to Microsoft and Mojang!

Is there another way to get "Friendly competition" and "awesome foursome" without using 4 controllers :/ I only have two will that help?

I remember how good International Track & Field was on the PS1, but now games like these are just not what they were, now they are all pretentious hoping the event of the theme of the London 2012 Olympics is enough to make people want the game without trying
to make the games good in it's own right!

 

Don't get me wrong Minecraft is a fun little game, never got some peoples near obsession over it though...

 

Yeah, it is fun to play and mess around on, particularly with mods etc. But I wouldn't get obsessed or anything over it. I like how it can be used to extend technology further (ex. hololens).

 

Was reading this the other day, there thinking about using it in classrooms as an educational tool that engages kids...

Microsoft launches site for teachers taking Minecraft into the classroom

 

Yep, I've actually seen it in action.

You can use it to learn the guitar, or other instruments.

Using new technology - you plug-in the instrument to a laptop or PC and as you play the instrument, your character in-game moves; so it's like a new controller, but it also plays the music you're making.

It's very interesting stuff for sure!
