mine craft disc or download

my son just downloaded mincraft for his xbox one so he could play Minecraft with his friends ,the have mine craft on disc .it now appears that the two games are not compatible how do we get his Christmas money back so he can buy the disc and play with his
friends.

Anyone still one the fence with this game, just to let you know that the latest update added some truly game changing additions...I dont get into the "vanilla" creative mode(s) but the added addition of new enemies and procedural terrain(s) is imo quite
dramatic. Amazing to say the least...LETS GET CRAFTIN' !

Unsure how to get money back for it usually Microsoft has a no refunds on digital purchases, however it is worth a try to contact Xbox support and ask them. The Xbox live edition of Minecraft is not compatible with the Xbox one or 360 editions and the disc
copy would be either X1 or X360. I understand it is frustrating for the Xbox live version to not be compatible but it is nice cuz it will work on almost any windows 8.1/Win10/Microsoft device (excluding x360). It also works on a lot of other platforms like
PlayStation 4, Nintendo switch, and so on. Also any purchased DLC for MC will work on any device regardless of platform.

Very tempted to get this on XBL Arcade as well.

[/quote]Building in Minecraft is very similar to building with Lego, so to build a roof employ the same method, if you have never played Lego, then your stuffed, lol.
