Migrating Xbox live account

I have been using my wife's email for a few years. Last year I started to try and move my account to a new email address. It took some time but two months ago I managed to get everything ready for everything to be moved. (I had accidentally made a gamertag
on the new email address so I had to migrate that to a third email address. I did all this at the end of december). At the end of January I tried to make the move of Gamertag with Email Address A to Email Address B. It told me it couldn't be done at this time.
I thought no big deal maybe I didn't wait 30 days. So I waited. It has been 59 days since any changes were made and it still won't let me. What can I do to get my gamertag to my personal email address?

Silver gives access to live for free but no multiplayer. Pretty sure it will be all you need to migrate her account to the one

just to be sure, when was the last time you have (re)downloaded the profile to the console?

Since it will need to be at least 30 days on a console without it being downloaded.

Also is there any currency left on the account? Since that can sometimes prevent a move.

I have $3 on the account and it's been on the 360 for years. It's also on my xbox one, not sure if that has anything to do with it. And yes I've got an alternate email and its been verified.

 

Is there any way to try and use that $3 so that the balance will be 0, like I said this could in some cases be an issue, but its not a guarantee it will work afterwards

 

Not really. I only use gift cards and it's kinda hard to find something for the exact amount I still have.
