Migrating game progress between accounts

As a parent with three under age kids, we have had to share accounts over the years with them. It would be an excellent upgrade to the Microsoft Family capabilities to be able to migrate game/account progress to a new family account so that kids don't have
to start over after using a parent's account for a couple of years.

I think this would be a great idea to be able to transfer cloud saves. You might leave this feedback with the Xbox Insiders over on Reddit. You can also submit your ideas to the Feedback Hub on Windows with Win Key+F. Then select the appropriate category.

Yes, it is possible to transfer your GTA Online progress from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S Enhanced, but not between different platforms (such as PC). You will need to start the process in GTA Online Enhanced, via the Pause Menu, and choose the profile you wish to migrate.

Process details:

Migration within the same platform:

The migration is done within the Xbox family, i.e. from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

Start the process:

The migration must be initiated in GTA Online Enhanced (on Xbox Series X|S).

Pause Menu:

Access the Pause Menu in-game and follow the instructions to migrate your profile.

Choose profile:

You will need to choose which GTA Online character you wish to migrate to the Enhanced version.

One-time migration:

The migration is one-time and irreversible.

Legacy progress:

Your character progress in GTA Online Legacy (Xbox One) will remain there, but the migration is one-time and irrevocable.

Separate Accounts:

If you try to migrate to a different console (e.g. PS4 to Xbox), you will have two separate profiles.

Linking to Social Club Account:

Make sure your PS and Xbox accounts are linked to the same Rockstar Social Club account.

No Problem (Generally):

As long as you have GTA Online Enhanced on your console, your accounts are linked correctly, and you have no illegitimate progress, there should be no issues with the migration.

Fair enough. And I understand that it's apparently not simple. My gripe is that it should be simple. If there are all these legal issues with licenses and technical issues with migrating accounts between countries then they should have NEVER allowed accounts
to be migrated in the first place. How could they not foresee that there would be times when hackers would steal accounts and migrate them to another country? Or that people may move overseas and migrate their account and want to migrate it back to the US
when they move back? Just makes no sense that they added a migration feature if they didn't have a simple way to migrate accounts back to the original country of origin.

But the bigger issue is just the lack of contact and information. If you're going to turn people's consoles into paperweights for months at a time, the least they can do is have personal e-mails or phone calls every week or two updating customers about
progress. Not nothing but automated e-mails with free live codes every month (which are useless as most people don't want to make progress on a temp account since game saves are stupidly tied to account) and customer service reps who don't even have any info
on the investigation progress when you call in.
