    Migrated Microsoft account not working for Minecraft


    I bought Minecraft years prior to Microsoft acquiring the game (~ 2010 to 2012, not positive). When it came time to migrate my Mojang account, I did (I checked my email and found the one from 2021 about the successful migration just to make sure). It's worked fine for years, but this last Christmas I got a new PC. I'm trying to download Minecraft onto it, but every time I log in, my Minecraft account doesn't show up. Like it hasn't existed for over a decade now. I just wanna play the block game on the account I've had for years and I'm not sure what is going on. I've tried restarting my PC, logging out of everything and logging back in, I've even installed the windows 7/8 version (as recommended in this post, which appeared to be the same issue as my own. Helped the load time of the launcher but that was it) but nothing worked. Any suggestions are appreciated, I really do not wanna buy the game again and lose the account I've had all this time Migrated Microsoft account not working for Minecraft :(

    Yes, unfortunately that’s the case
    If maybe the hacked account was a Microsoft account, you could try to recover it

    But as the hacker stole your Minecraft and then they migrated the account to a new Microsoft account
    There is no way to know (from Microsoft side) which was the account used to migrate this Minecraft account
    They only have the tools to work with Microsoft accounts

    For your Minecraft game, if you already have migrated your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account, it cannot be undone anymore. It will be permanently linked to the Microsoft account you used on the migration process.

    To begin, Microsoft accounts can only link to one Mojang account. Multiple Java Mojang accounts need to be migrated to separate Microsoft accounts.
