Migrate xbox gamertag to different microsoft account

Account 1 - Has all of my Office accounts, Onedrive data etc...

Account 2 - Has a xbox gamertag I've used since xbox live first launched

I can't give up either account but its frustrating having them separated, especially as xbox moves deeper into game streaming/PC integration

I've read that there is a blanket ban on migrating gamertags, and just changing email aliases doesn't solve the problem.

What are people in my situation supposed to do?

Hi,

He doesn't need to migrate anything but he can change the Microsoft Account (MSA) on the gamertag.

can't merge separate accounts, the most you can do is add an alias to an account so you can sign in with another email

I would recommend making a suggestion on the Xbox Insiders Reddit page. I am sure you are not the only person in this situation and if there is enough support for it, by
suggesting it here it could be something that changed in the future,

Hi there,

it's probably caused by the country your account is connected to. If the country field shows US on this link:
live.xbox.com/.../BillingAccountInformation it will mean that your account is connected to the US instead of UK.
